Best First Book for Philosophy?

Danica Timperman: G The wisdom of the Lotus Sutra

Randal Deyarmond: It depends on what kind of philosophy you're into, but I would recommend Plato's Euthyphro to start.

James Langmyer: I really like Hermann Hesse. He uses religious/philosophical beliefs and creates a novel. Read Siddhartha to understand Buddhism.

Nancy Mansell: philosophical ideas that are not helpful. Old Testament has Job, Proverbs, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon. New Testament has Four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John; 1 & 2 Corinthians and James. Wisdom of God can helps you to understand. Just read the bible from the beginning to the end.
