How do I decode my genealogy numbers-2.3.5.5.1.4.2.?

Palmira Lochridge: Dunno, makes no sense, with more info. But, see: http://www.genealogywise.com/

Laveta Fathy: Somebody did some extensive research in the 60's and I think I may be related to a king & famous architect.Very interesting!

Fannie Collingwood: It looks like you found yourself in a genealogy report. There are several numbering schemes. They all depend on who is #1. You might be 2.3.5.5.1.4.2 in relation to your 4th great grandfather on your father's line and 1.1.2 in relation to your maternal grandmother. It looks like, reading backwards, you are the second child your parents had (or one of your parents, if whichever in this line, mother or father, had children by more than one partner)Your mother/father, in turn was the 4th childYour grandparent, his/her mother/father, was the 1st child 1st great GP was the 5th child2nd GGP was a fifth child too3rd GGP was a third child4th GGP was a 2nd child. So, supposing Ezekial Hebediah Smith was who the book star! ted with, his children would be 1, 2, 3 4 etc. Children of child #2 would be 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc.If all you have is yourself, on a page with 14 generations of Xerox pimples, first copied in 1973 and passed down and re-copied ever since, you don't have chance of figuring out anything useful from it....Show more

Marielle Hedeiros: I have no idea what in the name of all things blue you are trying to ask. http://i763.photobucket.com/albums/xx275/ArchAngel...

Pattie Vold: Where did you find these numbers?
