Andrew Sinatra: Air travel is still the safest method as far as statistics show.
Dorris Homola: Airplanes???? Just a guess...
Caroyln Ebach: Great observation. Aircraft (particularly commercial flights) have a stellar safety record when compared to cars. There are lots of supporting statements, Even when considered per passenger mile the airlines win!http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-86504189.htmlhttp://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/gen99/gen998...are just a couple of good statistical looks...Show more
Cassidy Pangrazio: If I'm flyin' you'll be wanting to take the Greyhound.7-10,7-10,7-10 Gaydos!
Judie Kise: Per mile traveled, airline travel is the safest.
Lashawn Zabarkes: Airplanes, statistically, are much safer than ground transportation... much, much safer. You just hear of every airplane crash, because it can be quite epic. Plus, well, they're airplanes... just think 9/11.Anyway, you are much, much more likely to die on the way to the ai! rport than on your flight.
Wilbert Shellgren: wow i like ur posts... I dont know what to say but kewl thinking..
Faviola Dewire: A 200 passenger jet would have to crash every day to come close to how many die in cars every day.
Rona Espalin: 3.4 million injuries and 41,611 people killed in auto accidents in 1999 so thats in one yearin 20 years there were 2,301 fatalities (120 people killed on average each year), and 348 serious injuries. This amounts to a 0.00003% chance of being seriously injured or killed in a commercial aviation accident. more than 20,000 people die from the flu and its complications every year. so i wouldnt worry about a plane crash...Show more
Tereasa Sorensen: Some more numbersAirline flying is the safest mode of transportation in history. Average annual US highway fatalities â" 43,000 Average annual US airline fatalities â" 135What is the probability of being a fatality on an airline flight? Gennie Shauer: Your only taking into account the deaths in each form of transportation. If you compare how many people drive every year to the amount of deaths, you will find the percentages to that of flying, are not so different.
