Porfirio Cahall: I joined our local Sport Club through GlobalFit. GlobalFit has affiliations with lots of gyms all over the country, you have to belong to a company that works through them. When you look at their web site you will find all kinds of insurance companies, companies, organizations, that work with them. If you ask about GlobalFit at the gym they will not offer the info, hop on the Internet site and follow up with a call. They offer you a month by month deal and a smaller initiation fee, it comes out alot less expensive than going through the club...... give it a try. Good luck!...Show more

Jerald Florence: You don't need a fitness club to stay in shape. You can run anywhere, and usually find old weight equipment at garage sales or thrift stores/Good Will/Salvation Army.I'm not saying that there is no reason to join a Fitness Club, there are many other ones, especially if you are single. To get a better deal, you need to shop around. However it is always the best to get a place either close to home or work so your options may be limited. Personally my wife and I are members at a 24hr place for $20/month, however we have been ! members for about 8 years and they have just kept us on the sa! me contract since we first signed up.Look for deals in the paper. Go to the local health food stores and get recommendations. The Entertainment Book can be a good source for coupons. Until then I'd just hit the road and keep up on your cardio....Show more
