Are "underground" comics dead?

Ismael Sixon: I'm a fan of CLAMP myself. They're japanese manga though, so it's not like it's an underground thing (over there at least).

Delora Struzzi: Check this topic on www.wikipedia.org

Bell Pasco: Sorry, wouldnt know anything about that.

Hal Palowoda: I dont know

Clement Viscarro: I know I wont get any points for this but, no, not exactly. The closest inheritors to the underground comix is/are the zines and the "minicomics". Yeah, I know there some web comix, but they just don't have the flesh that the print (of any kind) comix have. I worry that one good EMP or one world government running like China does today, will wipe out all your online content. Print media, on the other hand, you need firemen with kerosene tanks on their backs going door-to-door to wipe that out. Each medium has its advantages and disadvantages. Last time I checked, Ripoff Press was still around.Kitchen sink press probably is still around.Last Gasp, Print Mint, ! & Apex Novelties, each may have been bought and sold several time by now, but they're worth looking into....Show more

Jeff Frizzell: Lots of comic artists publish on the web now. Check out TopWebComics and BuzzComix. Follow the links below.

Russel Gajate: image is pretty good.
