I have a question about special education..Will someone please give me some advice..?

JUST STUDY MORE,work hard n try to grasp a understanding of what you want to major in. I was in Resource at 9-15 yrs old.BUT arud 15 I STUDied MORE,work hard n gotten a understanding of why I wasin that class.By 16 I gotten all B's n took AP classes n did damn near better than more than half the students in there. My old resource teacher thought I literally gotten smart overnight n was shocked n intrigued about me.Becuz all was literally 1 out of a million who've boost up his(me)grades n gotten into an honors college(St.Thomas Univ).DUDE, a college similar to Harvard,Yale etc...Come on, a kid who was once n special ed. Darcie Peraha: For the most part, you will major in Special Education in college. When you receive your degree and state certification, specific areas of disabilities will be noted, i.e. exactly which ones you are certified to teach. These areas include the categories as mentioned in state and federal regulations for special education. Many times you will need to go back for more classses/courses in order to be certified for more categories.One note - preparing to be a teacher of the deaf, a teacher of the blind or deaf/blind requires a completely different undergrad program - not the overall Special Education program of study.
