Is a land line phone considered only the ones connected to a box outside?

Troy Staton: Well I have a cordless phone connected to a router via cable.

Vida Miss: A land line phone has come to mean a non-cellular or non-VOIP phone. In other words, you've got a pair of copper wires that connect to your house. It refers more to the connection to your home than the actual equipment. If you have a cordless phone attached to this connection, it's still considered a land line.Occasionally you will hear someone who has been with the phone company for a while refer to something called POTS. That's Plain Old Telephone Service, and is my definition of a land line!Greetings from Austin, TXKen...Show more

Floy Fague: Austin Tx, must be home of Asleep At the Wheel.

Colby Millberg: Yes it is a land line
